Day 3: Clearing Clutter

"There is clarity within me and around me." (page 43)

It's amazing to feel the energy that's being created and released by this group. I know some people are having a hard time. Some people are stuffed up, some are having challenges with their breathing. Some people have had a rough couple of days. It's almost like we've stirred up the dust and that can cause some challenges. And in the midst of that, we're reaching out and sharing, we're being inspired by each other's stories, we're changing our own stories. We're reassuring each other with reminders to be gentle, to go at our own pace, that where we are is just right. We're cheering each other on and making each other smile. Can you feel the power in that?

When I studied Reiki, one of the masters I encountered suggested that when an old pattern or an old hurt showed up, it was clearing. She'd just look at it and say, "Oh, look, there it goes" and then she'd release it to the wind.

May the air clear away the dust.

It has been intense, so true! I was shocked at my emotions yesterday. But I will venture on and Jamie, again, those images! I just love them and they're perfect for SC.

This is a big day for most of us, I can just see the Hefty bags piling up in the front yard. Go for it, ladies!

It is when you are really frustated that you must get excited because you are close to a breakthrough

I'm definately feeling the dust rustling around! And I'm sure there will be more. Maybe I should buy vacuum bags.

I love that idea "Oh look, there it goes." A counselor once told me that when I started feeling anxious I should say to myself "I'm feeling anxious. This is what anxiety feels like. I'm scared because (reason for anxiety)." She said that my body/mind thought that I was in danger and if I tried to ignore and suppress the anxiety it would get louder and stronger until I listened. It's a technique that has helped me a little, and I didn't remember it until just now when I read this quote. So thank you for sharing, I will be using it today!

I am actually enjoying this...because I am finally getting organized. I started the de-clutter process a week ago! I couldn't do it one day :) When I look around my house, I feel much more calm and less edgy. It feels good to have a proper place for things...and the purging of junk was the best.

This has been a tough few days for me. Stirring up a lot of thoughts, and forcing me to look within.
Which is exactly why I need to stick with it.
Everyone's positive comments and inspiration is helping greatly.

I love this practical side of the exercises - keeping a home that 5 people live in neat and clean is a challenge but I need my place to be welcoming, for myself and for others...I´ll be working on that.

All this clearing is stirring up stuff for me too! I'm glad we're all in this together.

I loved what your Reiki master said about old hurts and patterns coming up and then giving them to the wind. It such a beautiful and calm way to look at it.

I have had many reasons to breathe deep the past few days. Maybe the universe is working for me instead of against me as I originally stated in my post today.

Maybe I'm de-cluttering the part of my heart that struggles with my Ex's behavior. Maybe I'm learning to blow it into the air and let it drift away.

That little nugget just came to me as I was typing this. I hope to post a second time later this evening that is more directly related to today's journey.

I'm actually glad we'll be getting another chance to do this (clutter-clearing) again later, too - because I, too, find it very useful (more than I would have ever thought).

Jamie - What a lovely image. The window to the soul full of light! :)
De-cluttering is so cathartic because we are just getting rid of things that do not serve us anymore. :)

I've been clearing a little clutter every day, but today I'm getting rid of 2 BIG pieces - an old computer and a hot tub! I've also been burning fragrance candles to freshen the air in my home, and everyone seems to be in a better mood.

Clearing the clutter is such a wonderful meditation exercise. I noticed while de-cluttering my desk at work today, I was so focused and committed on getting it done that I didn't have time to worry or stress. It is a great mental exercise both in action and outcome!
